Yes. New home builds are covered under the mandatory BC 2/5/10 Home Warranty: 2 years on materials and labour including appliances and mechanical systems, 5 years on the building envelope including exterior water penetration, and 10 years on major structural defects. Renovation projects carry a 1 year warranty.
